The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS) seeks to fill the position of Foreign Animal Disease (FAD) Response Manager-Assistant to the State Veterinarian. The role of the FAD Response Manager-Assistant to the State Veterinarian is to plan, direct, and manage FAD preparedness and emergency management programs in the Animal Industry Bureau and assist the State Veterinarian in foreign animal disease preparedness. Applicant chosen will primarily work in the office working on FAD preparedness. Time will also be spent in the field working with internal and external stakeholders that would be affected by a foreign animal disease in Iowa.
