The Field Services Bureau seeks to fill the position of Administrative Support Assistant 3. Land stewardship is central to the work of the Department. The Division of Soil Conservation & Water Quality provides farmers with expertise and funds to help them install practices that preserve our highly productive soil, prevent erosion and protect our critical waterways. The Department is focused on making sure future Iowans can experience the same high quality of life that past generations have enjoyed in our state.
The Administrative Support Assistant 3 provides administrative and clerical support to the local Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD), SWCD board members, and field office staff. (requires minimal travel)

Dairy Products Inspector - Chickasaw Co

The Dairy Products Control Bureau seeks to fill a Dairy Products Inspector in Central Iowa. The area covered will include counties located in Northeast Iowa and the counties you will travel include, Allamakee, Bremer, Chickasaw, Floyd, Howard, Mitchell, Winneshiek and others decided upon at the time of hire. The official domicile will be in Chickasaw county or another contiguous county agreed up at the time of hire.
The purpose of the position is to assist the Secretary of Agriculture with the enforcement of applicable Iowa Code and to comply with all FDA cooperative agreement requirements. The Dairy Products Inspector inspects facilities, personnel and equipment used in the production, processing, manufacture, and storage of dairy products to ensure compliance with sanitation and related laws regulating the dairy industry.
