Consumers encouraged to not consume products

Following a consumer complaint, Compliance Officers from the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship's Meat and Poultry Inspection Bureau conducted an investigation of Lambert & Ewers Smoked Meats, 1641 6th Street, Boone, Iowa. Investigation determined that the facility was operating without a license.

On searching the facility, the investigators found insanitary conditions and product being stored at unsafe temperatures.
