NOTICE OF GRAIN DEALER CANCELLATION

Pursuant to the requirements of Iowa Code Section 203D.6(3) (2017), all interested grain sellers are hereby notified of the cancellation the of grain dealer license held by Northern Country Cooperative Company, Stacyville, Iowa. Grain dealer license number GD-291 was canceled on February 1, 2024. The grain dealer merged into Nexus Cooperative an Iowa licensed grain dealer, GD-1301 and a federally licensed warehouse.  All outstanding obligations were assumed by Nexus Cooperative.

The cancellation of the above-identified grain dealer license is a “claim incurrence date” in accordance with Iowa Code Section 203D.6(2).  All grain claims against the Iowa Grain Depositors and Sellers Indemnity Fund on account of this grain dealer must be in writing and sent by ordinary mail or delivered personally within 120 days after the incurrence date, which would be by May 31, 2024 to the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship, Grain Warehouse Bureau, Wallace State Office Building, Des Moines, Iowa 50319, as administrator of the Iowa Grain Depositors and Sellers Indemnity Fund.

Failure to timely file a claim within the 120-day time period relieves the Iowa Grain Depositors and Sellers Indemnity Fund from liability to the claimant. 

Failure to make a timely claim against the Iowa Grain Depositors and Sellers Indemnity Fund does not relieve the grain dealer of its liability to the claimant.  

 

NOTICE OF GRAIN DEALER AND WAREHOUSE CANCELLATION

Pursuant to the requirements of Iowa Code Section 203D.6(3) (2017), all interested grain sellers and depositors are hereby notified of the cancellation the of grain dealer and warehouse operator licenses held by Ken’s Feed Store, Inc., Sutherland, Iowa. Grain dealer license GD-4576 and warehouse operator license W-4687 were canceled on January 16, 2024. The licensee was acquired by Gengler Feed Service Incorporated of Remsen, Iowa, an Iowa licensed grain dealer (GD-30) and a federally licensed warehouse.

The cancellation of the above-identified licenses is a “claim incurrence date” in accordance with Iowa Code Section 203D.6(2).  All grain claims against the Iowa Grain Depositors and Sellers Indemnity Fund on account of this grain dealer and warehouse operator must be in writing and sent by ordinary mail or delivered personally within 120 days after the incurrence date, which would be by May 15, 2024 to the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship, Grain Warehouse Bureau, Wallace State Office Building, Des Moines, Iowa 50319, as administrator of the Iowa Grain Depositors and Sellers Indemnity Fund.  Failure to timely file a claim within the 120-day time period relieves the Iowa Grain Depositors and Sellers Indemnity Fund from liability to the claimant.
