The COVID-19 situation in Iowa is changing rapidly. The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship is working alongside the Governor’s office, Iowa Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, and the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) to monitor the situation closely. Protecting the health and safety of our employees and the community remain our top priorities. IDALS is elevating its COVID-19 response efforts based on updated recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and IDPH.

The new website to login to your email is https://portal.office.com and login to Microsoft 365.
The login will be your email address (Firstname.Lastname@iowaagriculture.gov) and regular email/Workday password.

How do I schedule a conference call or webinar?
Effective immediately, IDALS is limiting visitors and in-person meetings in our Wallace Building conference rooms until further notice. If you have an upcoming meeting scheduled, please explore conference call or webinar options. FreeConference.com, Zoom, Skype and Google Hangouts offer free conference call solutions.
Can I access my email from a remote location?
- Open a web browser.
- Go to the following website: https://exchange.iowaagriculture.gov/owa
- Your user name is idalsdom\ plus the first four letters of your last name and the first two letters of your first name. For example, Keely Coppess is idalsdom\coppke. If your last name has less than four letters, add an "x."
- Enter your current login password.
How do I forward my desk phone to my cell phone?
Press "forward" > Select "always" then enter the 10-digit forwarding number > Select "enable"

Who should I contact if I experience IT challenges while I'm teleworking?
If you have a computer, email or VPN issue, you should contact Troy Tucker at troy.tucker@iowaagriculture.gov. Please cc your Bureau Chief so they are also aware of the situation.
If I have potentially been exposed to COVID-19, when can I return to work?
IDPH recommends that you stay at home and isolate yourself from others in the home if you have:
- Taken a cruise anywhere in the world in the last 14 days.
- Traveled internationally to a country with a level 3 travel warning in the last 14 days.
- Close contact with a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 case in the last 14 days.
If an employee has any respiratory illness, including COVID-19, they must stay home until
- They are fever-free without the use of medication for at least 72 hours, and
- Their symptoms have improved, and
- It has been at least 7 days since the onset of the symptoms.
